I Pietrai are inside the renowned Wine Trail of the Etrurian Coast among beautiful landscapes, medieval villages and excellent eno-gastronomical offers. Of particular note, for their charming appearance, the villages of Casale Marittimo, Castagneto Carducci e Bolgheri, all very nearby.

There are many cultural and recreational offerings within a few kilometers from I Pietrai, among which VolterraTeatro , exhibits and theatre shows at Castello Pasquini in Castiglioncello, and the opera festival of Massa Marittima. The area around Cecina and the coast offers many other possibilities for adults and children.

Of note also, activities in the 3 villages of Guardistallo, Casale Marittimo and Montescudaio such as concerts, open-air movies and popular festivities.

In 1-2 hours by car, you will comfortably reach the islands (Capraia, Elba) and many of Tuscany's art cities, including Pisa, Siena, Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano, Colle val d'Elsa, Certosa di Calci, Montecatini val di Cecina, Massa Marittima, etc...

Other attractions include the park system of Parchi della Val di Cornia (nature, archeology and ancient mines), the Calidarium thermal baths (of roman origin) in Venturina, and further along (but not to be missed) the fantastic world of the Giardino dei Tarocchi in Capalbio.
